Muddie Buddies

(no, we are not the ones that came up with that name.) :) We got this recipe off of the Rice Chex cereal box. :)

Rice Chex cereal covered in chocolate and peanutbutter, and coated with powdered sugar.
Simple and soooo good.

Ingredients
9 cups of Rice Chex cereal

1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup of peanutbutter

1/4 cup of butter or margarine

1 tsp of vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar

Directions

1. Into large bowl, measure cereal and set aside.

2. In 1-quart microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips, peanutbutter, and butter uncovered on high for 1 minute, and then stir.
Microwave about 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth.

(I would recomend not to do the full 30 seconds. We over heated our's and it got really thick like frosting :) )

Stir in vanilla.

Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.

(We used a large plastic food container.)

3. Add powdered sugar. Seal bag. (or container) shake until well coated.

That's all! They are really simple to make. But they are so good. :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Eliza
