branson and oreo brownies

Yesterday my Mom, Laura and I went with my friend, and her mom and sister, and her sister's friend, to Branson, Missouri. It's probably the most popular vacationing town that is near by. :) You may have heard of it if you live in a neighboring state, but in case you haven't, it's a town full of amusement and theme parks, water parks, museums, attractions, and theaters. Our favorite place there is Silver Dollar City. It's a theme park based on Mark Twain's, Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. It's tons of fun. :) Although I really know nothing about that and have never read the book, it mostly based on what Missouri was like during that time. We have gone there several times ever since I was little.

We made a turn around day trip, so we left really early and drove there and drove back late. We watched the sunrise on the way. I honestly haven't watched the sun rise in a long time. I always stay up late and sleep in. :)

This isn't the best picture; it was taken on the way home. We were tired and my hair looks wet. It probably was a little because it had been raining. :) The weather was alright during the morning and early afternoon when we were at the park but still really cold. And towards the end of the afternoon it got colder and it rained so they had to close some of the rides. At least we were able to ride most of them earlier in the day. :)

Emma made this last night. It's a homemade brownie with oreo pieces baked in it. Then on top, a layer of peanut butter, cool whip, and oreo pieces sprinkled on top. It was really good. It's kept in the refrigerator which makes it better. She said she made it up based on something she had one time and thought it was really good, so she tried making it and it turned out great.

Hope your having a nice weekend!
Eliza
