sewing and sunsets

I've been horrible lately at posting regularly. I spent a lot of the weekend outside. It was hot; in the 90s! We cleaned off the back porch, and scrubbed the windows, planted some flowers, and scattered grass seed in the backyard. There are some spots that aren't growing grass that well. :)

My Mom works part time at a vet clinic, and sometimes they have people bring in dogs or cats that they found but can't keep, hoping that the vet will find them a new home. Someone brought in a Rottie mix puppy, and she is only about 6 weeks old! I wish we could bring her home, but we really don't need anymore dogs.;)

My Grandparents gave me a sewing machine for my birthday. It's so fun. ;) I'm still can't get over how exciting it is, when it gives you perfect stitches in just seconds! :)

I've been spending lots of time out in the sunroom where I have it set up, making mostly pillows with quilted fronts. I think it would be fun to learn to quilt; my Grandma and Aunt are big quilters. :)
